Bubbles
Bubbles: MIS Ceará - Fortaleza, CE
The Bubbles experience proposes an interactive journey that explores the memory of Mucuripe through virtual bubbles, in an Extended Reality installation developed especially for MIS Ceará. The project is based on the idea that invisible layers of time and memory can emerge through the interaction between the audience and the space.
In the proposal, translucent bubbles float in the environment. As the visitor approaches, sounds of water resonate and a virtual river appears, guiding the gaze toward new bubbles. Inside them, objects and sounds related to the memory of the place arise — such as the traditional song of washerwomen by the banks of the Maceió creek and a submerged scene containing the 3D model of the old Mucuripe Lighthouse and the Church of São Pedro dos Pescadores.
By interacting, the visitor is immersed in this universe through binaural sound effects and visual alterations, creating a transition between past and present. The experience offers a sensory and poetic dive into the relationship between technology, territory, and intangible heritage.
