Maria Bethânia: OYÁ, from Bahia to Ceará
Mapped Projection at the Acoustic Shell of the UFC Rectorate – Fortaleza, CE
The ceremony for awarding the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to the singer Maria Bethânia featured an audiovisual scenography developed using mapped projections. The animations created for the event recovered symbolic elements from the artist’s journey, connecting her story to the celebrated moment.
The projections were carried out through mapping of the Acoustic Shell of the Rectorate of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), also including the surrounding tree canopies. This integration between architecture and nature expanded the visual field of the projections, creating an immersive and continuous experience for the audience.
The project aimed to unite art and technology to enhance the sensory impact of the event, transforming the physical space into a living and poetic narrative platform.
