Plácido’s Castle
Phantasm Architecture – Palácio Plácido: Praça Luíza Távora – Fortaleza, CE
The project Phantasm Architecture – Palácio Plácido proposes a Mixed Reality experience that rescues the memory of one of the most emblematic spaces in the city of Fortaleza. Located in the Aldeota neighborhood, the current Praça Luíza Távora houses the past of a castle that once stood there: Palácio Plácido, built as a wedding gift by the merchant Plácido de Carvalho for his wife, the Italian Pierina Rossi.
The proposal invites the public to reflect on the urban and social transformations that shape spaces and the symbiotic relationship between city and memory.
Using virtual reality glasses and 3D reconstructions of the site in different periods, the experience allows visitors to walk through temporal layers, following the changes that led to the current configuration of the square.
The project creates a sensory and historical journey that connects past and present, uniting technology and heritage.
