Virtual Reality
Virtual Reality (VR) is a technology that creates fully digital and immersive environments, allowing users to feel as if they are “inside” a virtual space. To achieve this, VR headsets or goggles are generally used, along with controllers and sensors that capture a person’s movements and reproduce them in the simulated environment. Unlike augmented reality, which inserts virtual elements into the real world, VR transports the user to a completely digital universe, isolating them from the physical environment.
This technology is applied in various areas, such as entertainment, education, professional training, healthcare, and tourism. Games and simulators are well-known examples of VR applications, but it is also used for pilot training, simulated surgeries, and visits to museums or historical sites without leaving home. With advancements in graphic capabilities and more accessible devices, virtual reality is becoming a powerful tool for creating immersive and innovative experiences.
